The instruction screenshoot is created on F7S platform. But path and method still applied to models: F3,F3G, F3D, F3S,F3SN, F3SG, F5D, F5G, F7SN,F7SG

Procedures: Diesel Heavy Vehicle→Man(V6.96)→Automatic Control Unit Detection from Vehicle→EDC 17→Special Function→Particulate Filter Regeneration Service.

Select “Automatic Control Unit Detection from Vehicle”;

Please read the instructions carefully before clicking “Yes”;

Make sure the Ignition Switch is on before clicking “Yes”;

Click “EDC 17”;

Select “Special Function”;

Select “Particulate Filter Regeneration Service”;

Apply the parking brake before clicking “Confirm”;

Read the instructions carefully before clicking “Confirm”;

Make sure the Ignition Switch is on before clicking “Confirm”;

Click "start" to start the regeneration process. Please note the engine speed would increase, the DPF outlet temperature and the exhaust gas temperature will rise to a point and stabilize when the regeneration process has been initiated.

These all are the indication that the DPF regeneration is taking place.

When the engine speed drops and stabilizes or when the DPF level shown on the instrument panel falls to zero, click “back” to exit the regeneration process as it’s been finished.
